My husband and I discovered a new place to walk recently when we couldn’t find anywhere to park as we normally do in Carlsbad. We found a spot south of the sea wall and decided to venture further south on foot as we explored the cliffs overlooking the Pacific.
We found a set of stairs leading down to a secluded beach. The tide was out, allowing us to meander along at the base of the mossy sandstone outcroppings. After having lived in North County for 25 years, I was surprised that we hadn’t already discovered this beautiful stretch of beach.
I wonder what other secluded scenic areas exist close by that I have yet to discover.
Do you have a favorite that you are willing to share? I promise to keep it a secret.
